NEW YORK, NEW YORK — The second highest court in the nation will hear arguments on January 21st in an appeal likely to set precedent on citizens’ First Amendment rights and grand jury secrecy.

The Plaintiff-Appellants submitted to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York a detailed Amended Petition (https://www.lawyerscommitteefor9-11inquiry.org/lc-doj-firstamended-grand-jury-petition/) presenting a body of hard evidence of federal crimes that occurred before and during 9/11 that deserve the scrutiny of a federal Special Grand Jury. The Petition’s numerous first responder eyewitness reports and well documented scientific evidence relate to the destruction of the WTC Twin Towers and WTC 7 on 9/11 due to pre-planted explosives and/or incendiaries.

Based on federal law mandating that any U.S. Attorney provide to a Special Grand Jury any report of a federal crime made by a citizen, Plaintiff-Appellants asked the U.S. Attorney to submit their Amended Petition to a Special Grand Jury to decide whether an investigation into the documented crimes is warranted. The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York refused to honor his duty to deliver the Amended Petition to a Special Grand Jury. The U.S. District Court dismissed Plaintiffs’ lawsuit to compel the U.S. Attorney to honor his duty on the grounds that Plaintiffs have no legal standing to sue. The Plaintiff-Appellants appealed, arguing that every citizen has a First Amendment right to petition a Federal Grand Jury to report crimes, submit evidence, and request investigations and reports, and every citizen has standing to sue when that right is obstructed. On January 21st at 10 AM the U.S. Court of Appeals will hear arguments on both sides of the issue.
